This is a different kind of monster. An HDTV Snake!
I was sought out to do a special cover for the Oz article: "Coiled and Ready to Strike" on HiDef production. OZ: The Journal of Creative Disciplines Jan-Feb 2003.
They loved it so much that they bought rights to use it for the new Hi Def sourcebook:

Being a big HDTV fan, this is awesome. I love how the cable enters the back of the tv and becomes the snake on the front. BTW, is there a particular significance to the use of the Japanese Sunburst? Or was it just a pattern that you liked for the background?
Lou,
The significance of the Japanese Sunburst is that HDTV was invented and developed in Japan. Plus, it's a cool in your face background. Glad you like it.
monsterously fantastic!
Wow- breathtaking work
Mmmmmm... slithery. :-)

clever & cool - especially I like the near-photo. The dept in the image is wonderful.
Wow...beautiful. Great detail!
The cover pictures's dynamic, I can understand their love. The closeup really shows the rich color and detail put into your -HD monster. So Fine!
Very cool detail! Awesome work.
Wonderful illustration. Expertly crafted. Thanks for the detail version, which allows a look into the coil. Your online portfolio below is great also... actually works on my old G3 with OS 9.2 and it's unsupported Mozilla browser.
Nice snake...Nice art.
