This was one of my first illustrations done in Adobe Illustrator when first came on the scene around 1994. I did this at Portfolio Center and the assignment was to simply do something with a nautical theme. This version of Illustrator did not have a brush tool and pressure sensitive tablets were not in the main stream yet. The wiggly shapes were created with the roughen filter I think. Since then, I lost the digital file and only had a IRIS print of it. So now it's an original with no digital file!

I love these colors and the detail! Great captain, he looks like he knows what he is doing :)
i like the placement of the wheel, the contrast really works
I love the colors and style of this illo. Has the feel of an old postcard or something.
He is a captain with purpose. Very nice.
Seriously impressive -tremendous work!
Never mind the illustrator-version - this is GREAT.
